Protists may be classified according to their mode of obtaining energy, how they feed. We have PLANT-LIKE protists that can make their own food. Protists that are ANIMAL-LIKE in feature obtain energy by feeding on other organisms. Lastly, FUNGUS-LIKE protists are parasitic and spore formers. Let us know the different kinds of protist we have in the environment.
Plant-like protists or phototrophs are photosynthetic containing chlorophyll. These are represented by algae, dinoflagellates and euglenoids.
