MUSEUM OF THE FILIPINO PEOPLE
Located near the National Art Gallery is the building housing various exhibits of the Museum of the Filipino People. Here, students had the vision of the historical roots of the Filipino heritage from pre-colonization era, Spanish colonization, American colonization, Japanese colonization, to the recent ages. This time travel to the past is further enriched by the actual artifacts taken from various localities in the country. Archaeological treasures, biodiversity, and cultural heritage of the Philippines are well presented in this museum. Students enjoyed this tour for they gain knowledge and some trivial facts but most of all, students had the chance to reflect on the richness of the Filipino heritage and that they need to contribute their part in preserving and protecting it. |
